Anyone know who designed this piece of jewelry?

They gave me a rather interesting piece of jewelry from my uncle for my first birthday and I have recently taken to wearing a lot. The pendant is in a string of very long chain link which is rather dull and frankly I'm not sure if that is the original. The pendant itself is spherical and a shiny silver (possibly iron) with five smaller spherical (fake) jewels are red, green, blue, white and purple over Ecuador in the field, evenly spaced and set in silver holders. Although it is a pretty good sized toy, silver seems to be thick, but hollow, because it has a bell inside. Does anyone have any idea or clue who could have designed? I have fourteen years of age so the collar is older and my uncle had lived in the area of NYC / Northern NJ.

I would suggest adding a picture of the necklace. The description sounds very detailed and confusing.
