Ladies … Would you be happy with an engagement ring onyx?

I want a prefix to my girlfriend, but had an idea for that ring non-traditional. I wanted to get a ring with onyx center stone. I like the black stone and thought it would be more original than the central diamond classic piece. If her husband had proposed other types of stone than a diamond, how do you feel? I know some women dream of their wedding day and this proposal and hope to be perfect, I do not tarnish the memory, but I want to see what I think they are beautiful. PS I'm not tring to get away with a cheap, either. I figured that would get the band of platinum or other expensive metel traditional pay a price.

I think you are talking to the wrong people. Talk to your girlfriend it and see what you think onyx. I personally black is a stone inadequate as black is usually associated with things dark and doomed. However, you can use your birthstone or ruby. But to be honest, the girls want diamonds for what looks like an engagement ring, not just an occasional gift.
